Our Goal

Our primary goal for the Clean and Green program over the next few years is to evolve into a social enterprise program that increases contract awards and generates increased revenues to support greater sustainability for the program over time!

Park Heights Renaissances’ Clean and Green Team has gained local praise and esteem from the Greater Baltimore Committee and the Baltimore Business Journal for exemplary service to the community! Part of the Clean and Green team’s goals are to lead and implement community clean ups and beautification projects. This Spring, we will be piloting the Clean and Green programs as our new Pre-Apprenticeship program which means that we can close the skills gap and show the community’s untapped talent.

About The Program

The target audience for the program are high-risk individuals ages 17-25 who’ve been referred from our Safe Streets program and other partner service providers in Park Heights. The expanded program enhancements will allow us to:

Provide on-the-job training and job readiness skills including hands-on equipment, landscaping and event logistics, OSHA and CPR certifications, COVID-19 and equipment safety protocols, soft skills, and other supportive services to help overcome barriers to employment, improve job outcomes, enhance educational attainment and complement referrals to other training programs.
Provide case management and supportive services to staff and trainees. Case management support will assist participants in addressing barriers to employment and connections to other resources and services, such as behavioral health, mental health and other holistic services to ensure improved job outcomes and to support long-term self-sustainability and economic empowerment.
Lead and organize community clean-ups and beautification projects.
Offer mentorship and other resource workshops to include financial education and literacy, conflict resolution, and health and wellness education.
