The Baltimore City Board of Elections is reminding voters of important dates, locations, and ballot return information for the 2026 Gubernatorial Primary Election.

Early Voting

Early voting began on June 11, 2026 and will continue through June 18, 2026. Early voting centers are open daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Voters may cast their ballot at any of the nine early voting locations below:

  • Westside Skill Center — 4501 Edmondson Ave.
  • BCCC South Pavilion — 2600 Liberty Heights Ave.
  • The League for People with Disabilities — 1111 E. Coldspring Lane
  • University of Maryland Engagement Center — 16 S. Poppleton Street
  • Mount Pleasant Ministries — 6000 Radecke Ave.
  • Middle Branch Fitness and Wellness Center — 201 Reedbird Avenue
  • Public Safety Training Center — 3500 W. Northern Parkway
  • Rita Church Recreation Center — 2101 St. Lo Drive
  • Southeast Anchor Library — 3601 Eastern Ave.

The Primary Election includes contests for the Democratic Party, Republican Party, and Non-Partisan School Board.

Mail-In Ballot Reminders

The Baltimore City Board of Elections has mailed postcard reminders to voters who received a “Replacement” ballot. Voters are encouraged to complete and return the Replacement ballot, even if they previously mailed their original ballot. The Replacement ballot will replace the original ballot.

Voters may return their completed Replacement ballot in several ways:

  • Place it in one of the 35 official drop box locations throughout Baltimore City.
  • Return it by mail, ensuring it is postmarked by June 23, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Voters are encouraged to have their local post office date-stamp the ballot before mailing.
  • Drop it off at a vote center or polling location on Election Day.

The Board strongly encourages voters to use one of the official drop boxes when possible.

Please note: Voters who choose to vote in person at an early voting center or polling place instead of returning their mail-in ballot will be required to vote by provisional ballot, which will be canvassed after Election Day. For this reason, voters who received a Replacement ballot are encouraged to return it.

Voters may track the status of their returned Replacement ballot by visiting https://www.baltimorecity.gov/boe and selecting “Voter Lookup/Track Your Ballot.”

In rare cases where a voter is unable to receive and return the Replacement ballot, their first returned mail-in ballot will be canvassed and counted, as long as it is the correct party ballot for the voter.

Registration Deadline

The deadline to register to vote or change party affiliation was June 2, 2026. Party affiliation changes will resume beginning July 7, 2026.
